Welcome to Ultimate Bocce
We began playing Bocce back in 2010 as a great way to enjoy the summer weather. Little did we know that we were on the verge of creating a whole new level to a game that has been around for centuries.
There is a huge field across from my house which made playing the game very convenient yet more importantly, the sheer size of the field allowed us to literally stretch the boundaries of the traditional rules. As we explored the field, we came up with incredibly challenging shots using the wide variety of terrain the field had to offer. Throughout the summer, we encountered dozens of situations where a new rule could be created to make the game more interesting.
Everything in the field was used as part of the game: hills, walking paths, trees, bushes, soccer goal posts, park benches and even the mulch beds became part of the strategy to defeat each other. Suddenly the game became so much more compelling to play and we looked for other fields on which to test our creation.
As we moved around to other fields in our neighbourhood, every one we found had unique characteristics which fuelled our creativity and allowed us to further refine each rule and thus the game itself. It was then that we figured we were on to something really cool!
We were having so much fun playing that we joked about having a rule book, a website, and believe it or not, even a trophy. We now have all three!
This website is a testament to how much we enjoy playing and we want to share our pumped-up Bocce game with everyone. We hope you Bocce players out there will venture out beyond the back yard or courts and try out the Ultimate Rules. It will truly test your skills and elevate your game to the Pro level! And for those summer enthusiasts, if you’re not playing Bocce already, give it try, even if its just the traditional game. Its an awesome way to enjoy the great weather outside with friends and family.

We made this site just to see if there are other big fans of Bocce out there like us. Hopefully there are a few that will appreciate the razzle-dazzle of Ultimate Bocce. We have made a habit of thinking outside the box by taking games and breaking the boundaries within them. This one by far is our favourite! However, wait till we show you what we've done with Ping Pong...
